First of all, you need to have a pile of suitable waste, such as glass pipes, aluminum pipes or steel pipes. They should not be too heavy and can make a distinct sound when struck.
Then cut different lengths and shapes according to the pitch requirements (the glass needs a round mouth).
Then drill holes in one end to thread the rope through, four to eight will be enough.
Weave a shelf and hang it around the shelf according to the rules with ropes.
Hang a rope in the center of the shelf, place a sheet of metal such as a copper coin on the rope, then hang a light and thin sheet, strip or tip. The test wind can blow and collide with the tube to produce a clear sound. If necessary, adjust the hanging position of the tube until you are satisfied.
Finally, add a hanging structure such as a hook ou a rope in the center of the shelf to make sure it is vertical.
Once the test is completed, the wind chime is ready.
Of course you can also choose other shapes or forms of materials for drying. It's a test of your creativity.
