The former site of the Shuixi Red Army Headquarters is located in Shapi Village, Shuixi City, a high-tech zone. From October to early November 1930, the First Red Army moved to the Yuanshui Basin, and a joint meeting of the General Front Committee of the First Red Army and the Jiangxi Provincial Executive Committee was held in Luofang. During this period, the headquarters of the Third Corps of the Red Army led by Peng Dehuai was stationed here. Therefore, the ancient site constitutes an important part of the ancient site group of the Luofang Conference and the Xingguo Investigation Committee, a key national cultural relics protection unit, and provides evidence for the study of revolutionary activities of the Red Army in Xinyu.
