5. Ensure a good seal of the solar collector shell to prevent rain or dust from entering the collector.
6. Heat-absorbing iron plates, water tanks and pipes should be flushed regularly to prevent rust from clogging the pipes.
7. Replenish water in time to avoid sunburn. For flat type solar water heaters, if the temperature of the heat absorbing plate is too high in the sun, it will easily damage the heat absorbing coating, glass, sealing materialsity and the protective layers of evacuated tube solar water heaters, if; the vacuum tube wall temperature is too high in the sun, the cold will burst.
8. In winter, when the solar water heating system cannot be used normally, drain the water to avoid freezing and cracking. It is best to cover the collector with an opaque material to prevent air drying.
