This small metal bucket is an auxiliary water tank, which is used to fill the solar water heater. The principle is a flush toilet with a float switch inside that automatically replenishes water. When using water, if the water pressure can reach this position, solar energy will automatically turn on the water. Automatically turns off when water is full. If water often leaks there, simply tighten the seal there.
There are two types of water leaks in solar water heater storage barrels:
1. Water is leaking at the joints between the vacuum tube and the barrel body.
Solution: Replace the sealing ring.
2. The cannon is leaking.
This has virtually no maintenance value. The structure of the barrel itself is double-layered. The inner layer is a water storage barrel and the outer layer is a shell. Insulating materials areadded between the two layers using foaming technology. If you want to repair, the foam insulation must be destroyed, and the walls of water storage barrels are relatively thin and difficult to weld and repair. After repair, the insulating material must be filled. So the maintenance value of this is not great. Repairing it may not save you much money compared to buying a new one.
Solution: Replace barrel or replace solar.
