Here is the principle and structure of lithium batteries:
Lithium ion batteries use carbon materials as the negative electrode and lithium-containing compounds as the positive electrode . There is no lithium metal, only lithium ions, it is a lithium ion battery.
Lithium-ion battery refers to the general term for batteries using lithium-ion intercalation compounds as the positive electrode material. The charging and discharging process of lithium-ion batteries is the process of intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions. During the process of intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions, it is also accompanied by the incorporation and deintercalation of electrons equivalent to lithium ions (it is customary to express the positive electrode as insertion or deintercalation, and the negative electrode by insertion or deintercalation).
During thecharging and discharging process, lithium ions are inserted/deinterposed and inserted/deinserted back and forth between the positive and negative electrodes, which is vividly called "rocking chair battery".
The process technology of lithium-ion batteries is very strict and complex. We can only briefly present some of the main processes here. (1) Special solvents and binders are used for mixing sludge with powder positive and negative electrode active materials respectively, and after high-speed uniform mixing, sludge-type positive and negative electrode materials are made.
(2) Coating film: Apply the prepared suspension evenly to the surface of the metal sheet, dry it, and make positive and negative electrode plates respectively.
(3) The assembly is placed in the order positive electrode sheet - separator - foilnegative electrode - separator from top to bottom, and is rolled into a battery core, which is then injected with electrolyte, sealed, etc. The process involves completing the battery assembly process and manufacturing the finished battery.
(4) The chemical industry uses special battery charging and discharging equipment to carry out charging and discharging tests on finished batteries, inspect each battery, and select qualified finished batteries before leave the factory.
