BRIEF HISTORY
IS0 Recommendation R 766, Fibre building boards. Determination of dimensions of test
The
pieces, was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 89, Boards made from wood or other ligno-
cellulosicfibrous materials, the Secretariat of which is held by the Deutscher Normenausschuss (DNA).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1959 and led, in 1964, to the
adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
In October 1965, this Draft IS0 Recommendation (No. 840) was circulated to all the IS0
Member Bodies for enquiry. It was approved, subject to a few modifications of an editorial nature,
by the following Member Bodies :
