This draft amendment A1, if approved, will modify the European Standard EN 16668:2016. If this draft becomes an amendment,
CEN members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for inclusion of
this amendment into the relevant national standard without any alteration.
This draft amendment was established by CEN in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other
language made by translation under the responsibility of a CEN member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.
CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,

European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive.

1 Modification to the Scope
Replace “Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU” by “European legislation for pressure equipment”
in the 1st and 2nd paragraph.
Replace “PED” by “European legislation for pressure equipment”.
2 Modification to Clause 4
Replace all Clause 4 by the following text:
“A classification under the use of DN and PS and fluid groups 1 and 2 leads to maximum category III. For
respective results see Annex A.
