This draft amendment is submitted to CEN members for unique acceptance procedure. It has been drawn up by the Technical
Committee CEN/TC 213.
This draft amendment A1, if approved, will modify the European Standard EN 15895:2011. If this draft becomes an amendment,
CEN members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for inclusion of
this amendment into the relevant national standard without any alteration.
This draft amendment was established by CEN in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other
language made by translation under the responsibility of a CEN member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.

"5.3.4 Essential dimensions
For single shot tools (tools for single cartridges), the safety-relevant dimensions of the cartridge chamber shall
match the dimensions of the related cartridges such that the breech can be closed fully.

surface temperatures do not exceed the limit values laid down in EN ISO 13732-1:2008.
The temperature of handles or other surfaces of the tool which are intended to be touched for holding the tool
shall not exceed 48 °C.
For other intentional contacts the contact times to be considered for defining the maximum surface
temperatures shall be
— 4 s for the activation of the trigger or switches,
— 10 s for the activation of power adjustment devices.
The contact time to be considered for surfaces not intended to be touched shall be 0,5 s.
If the surface temperature exceeds 48 °C, appropriate warnings shall be given as indicated in 7.1 and 7.2.
