Gaolicheng Village, Qingshiling Town, Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province. During the Warring States Period, the State of Yan opened up the Liaohe River Stacks, and Gai County belonged to Liaodong County. After Qin unified the six kingdoms, it still belonged to Liaodong County. During the Western Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties, Wen County (today's Tangchi in Dashiqiao City) was established in the north of Gai County, and Pingguo County (today's Xiongyue City) was established in the south, all under the jurisdiction of Liaodong County. During the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the former Yan, the former Qin, and the later Yan belonged to Pingguo County in Pingzhou. After the establishment of Beiyan in 407 AD, Gaixian County was once separatist by Goguryeo, and Ancheng (today's Goguryeo City in Qingshiling) was built and Jian'an County was established. In the first year of the General Chapter of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty (AD 668), the Anzhou Governor's Office was established in Jian'an City. In the Liao Dynasty, Chenzhou was established in Jian'an City, so Gai County is known as the ancient Chenzhou. In the Jin Dynasty, Chenzhou was changed to Gaizhou. In the Yuan Dynasty, the Gaizhou Road was established, and the administrative office was still located in Jian'an City. In the sixth year of Yuan Dynasty (1269), Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty merged Xiongyue and Tangchi counties into Jian'an County. In the eighth year of Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty (1271), Jian'an County was merged into Gaizhou.
Liangtun, Wanfu, Wangxingren, Cross Street, Wolongquan and other places are in the eastern part of Gaizhou and are mountainous areas. All the young workers in these places have gone to work in the cities, and those at home are the elderly and children. Nowadays, people don’t build houses there when they get married. Instead, they go to Gaizhou City to buy a house. This shows how backward this place is.
Cross Street is 60 kilometers southeast of Gaizhou. There is only one main street, and there are no buildings! The area is sparse and mountainous, and the people have raised cattle and sheep to make a living. Because it is a mountainous area, the water quality and air quality are very good. The population income is relatively low in Gaizhou.
The rural economies in Gaizhou that are good include Xihai, Beihai, Shagang, Bangshibao, Gaotun, Qingshiling and other places. The eastern mountainous areas are generally economically backward!
