The transportation in the town is very convenient. Every village in the town is connected to roads. The provincial road Xiangbao Road and the county road Yanjiang Road intersect in the town. The 15-kilometer golden waterway of the Yangtze River passes through the town. There are complete passenger and cargo terminals and cross-river ferry terminals.
A town under the jurisdiction of Zigui County. In 1950, it was Chucang District, and in 1955 it was changed to Guojiaba District.
