For diesel generator sets with a machine room, the machine room is equivalent to a sound insulation cover. At this time, the machine room can be soundproofed and decorated. Adopt sound absorption and sound insulation measures on the ceiling and four walls of the machine room, install and lay sound-absorbing materials, use high-efficiency vibration-absorbing foot pads for diesel engines, install mufflers or silencer louvers at the air inlet and outlet of the machine room, and set up explosion-proof soundproof doors and windows on the walls.

In terms of pipelines: Install a protective cover at the front end of the exhaust pipe to prevent personnel from coming into contact with high-temperature pipes; coat the surface of the exhaust pipe with thermal insulation material to reduce the temperature of the exhaust pipe wall and avoid contact with Burns while venting the smoke pipe.

Flue: The flue outlet should be as far away from the area where people move as possible to avoid directly emitting waste gas to people; the flue outlet should be equipped with an anti-smoke device to avoid the air inlet and smoke exhaust port being connected to cause exhaust gas.
