Electricity production in China is mainly based on thermal energy.
As China has the largest coal reserves in the world, it has sufficient conditions for the development of thermal energy. Next comes hydroelectricity, mainly in the south and southwest, then nuclear and finally wind power.
Thermal power generation is a method of generating electricity that uses thermal energy generated when combustible materials are burned and converts it into electrical energy through a power generation device. Due to the shortage of fossil fuels on earth, humans are trying their best to develop nuclear power generation, nuclear fusion power generation and high-efficiency solar power generation, so as to eventually solve the energy problems facing human society. The first production ofThermal energy was carried out in the Gare du Nord thermal power station in Paris in 1875.
Production of wind energy
The conversion of Wind energy into electrical energy is the most basic way to use wind energy. Wind turbines generally consist of components such as a wind turbine, a generator (including devices), a deflector (tail), a tower, a speed-limiting safety mechanism and an energy storage device.
The operating principle of a wind turbine is relatively simple. The wind wheel rotates under the influence of the wind, which converts the kinetic energy of the wind into the mechanical energy of the wind wheel shaft. The generator rotates, driven by the wind turbine shaft, to produce electricity.
The wind wheel is a wind collection device. Its function is to convert the kinetic energy of the circulating air into mechanical energy of rotation of the rwind turbine. Generally, the rotor of a wind turbine is made up of 2 or 3 blades. In wind turbines, three types of generators have been used, namely direct current generators, synchronous alternators and asynchronous alternators.
