Luanchuan was called Luanzhou in ancient times because it resembled a phoenix in ancient times. It is named after the Luan bird that lives here. Located in the west of Henan Province, it borders Song County to the east, Lushi to the west, Xixia to the south, and Luoning to the north. It is known as the "Back Garden of Luoyang" and the "South Gate of Luoyang".
