The power station was built in 1921. Before liberation, it was the first power station in southern Jiangsu. After liberation, it underwent secondary expansion and technological transformation. Especially in the 1990s, through the construction of 2 units of 200,000 kilowatts under a joint venture between the state and local governments, the power generation capacity of the plant reached 492,500 kilowatts, i.e. a total of 492,500 kilowatts. it is one of the largest thermal power generation companies. At present, the company has fixed assets (original value) of 1.18 billion yuan and employs 1,781 people. It has several economic entities under its subsidiaries, such as Changzhou Zhenhua Industrial Corporation and Zhenhua Electric Power Engineering Company. Form an innovative business development model focused on “diversified power generation and operations”.
