This document is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100.
The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are
covered is indicated in the scope of this document.
When provisions of this document are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards,
the provisions of this document take precedence over the provisions of the other standards for lifts that
have been designed and built according to the provisions of this document.
This document specifies a lift to be used for the evacuation of persons with disabilities and persons with
disabled mobility automatically or under the direction and control of the building management.
