The largest power plant in Taizhou is currently the Yuhuan Huaneng Power Plant, followed by the Jiaojiang Qiansuo Power Plant. Both of these are coal-fired and very polluting. Wind power plants include Linhai Kuocangshan Wind Power Plant, Wenling Ruo Hengdong Seawall Wind Power Plant, and the famous Jiangxia Tidal Power Station. Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant is still under construction. Other small reservoirs and small hydropower stations include Huangyan Changtan Reservoir, Tiantali Shimen Reservoir, Wenling Taihu Reservoir, Human Reservoir, etc. There are too many to list them all.
Su Baoding is 1,934 kilometers above sea level at the intersection of Hongjiang City in Huaihua and Dongkou County in Shaoyang. It is the main peak of Xuefeng Mountain. China Huaneng has built a wind power plant here. The power plant is currently the wind farm with the largest installed capacity and the highest altitude in Hunan, with a total installed capacity of 150,000 kilowatts and 75 2,000 kilowatt wind turbines installed.
The purpose of our trip is to the No. 26 fan at Subaoding. I don’t know if it is the highest peak in Subaoding, but it is the best place to watch the sunrise. Standing at Wind Turbine No. 26, all you can see is a huge generator. Seeing this behemoth, I really can't imagine how it was transported up the rugged mountain road by car. The leaves are long and thick, and the mountain road is narrow and curved one after another. I can only sigh that the Chinese people are so great.
Because of the wind turbine, the trees on Su Baoding are not very tall. There is only grassland near the wind turbine and no trees. This provides good feed for the cattle. Cow dung can be seen everywhere on Su Baoding. We were lucky enough to meet a herd of cows at Fan No. 52. The cattle here are free-range and eat all green grass, so the meat is probably very delicious. There were no cattle herders, so they were probably kept by those who maintained the mountain roads here.
People who are not very skilled really cannot drive Su Baoding. Starting from the Jiangkou Township Expressway intersection in Dongkou County, it takes two hours to drive to Subaoding. The long time is because the road is narrow and winding with many drops, and it goes up and down along the rolling hills. There is a cement road to the wind power plant, and then there is a gravel road. It is impossible to drive a car with a low chassis, because the car is ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding all the way.
My friend said that all I need to do is bring long autumn clothes and long trousers. I saw others in the circle of friends wearing cotton-padded clothes. I decided to bring a short, thin cotton coat. When I got off the car, I could only hear the "whirring" sound of the wind, and the fan was spinning desperately. I wanted to put on my clothes after eating, but before I even took a bite of the meal, I quickly put on my cotton-padded clothes. I didn't feel any heat, and I had to close the zipper. When I ate facing the wind, my meal was immediately chilled, so I had to find a place to sit leeward to eat.
My friend was wearing a pair of thin summer trousers, which were blown by the wind into a lantern, floated in front, and floated in the back. The girls' long hair was all messy in the wind, and even if it was tied up, it would be blown around by the wind.
The sky is not beautiful, there are many stars out, but it is not the kind of stars that fill the sky, and the wind blows more vigorously as the stars come out. We started to light a fire. When the fire started, people's enthusiasm increased even more, and a scene of eating watermelon around the fire was staged. When I woke up in the morning, everything on and around the tent and the carIt's all dew, the kind of dew that would soak a cotton-padded coat.
Su Baoding has pleasant scenery and is not occupied by a travel company. Everyone can only come here on their own, so there are many people here. There are nearly a hundred people camping with us at No. 26 Fan. The quality of people is easily revealed here. Those with high quality will bag the garbage and put it in the car and take it down the mountain by themselves. Those with low quality were thrown away, causing the hillside to be covered with garbage and lawns.
When we complain about the high ticket prices of some tourist attractions, can we think about it carefully: we are just going to see the scenery, not taking anything away or leaving anything behind. Su Baoding is an excellent scenery. As more and more people go there, I don’t know how long its beautiful green can last.
In 1945, the Chinese military and civilians relied on the natural dangers of Xuefeng to win the final battle of the Anti-Japanese War, the "Snow Summit Battle". Xuefeng Mountain has witnessed the heroic spirit of the Chinese nation in defying foreign enemies. Today she has been passing on this spirit. Su Baoding deserves our good protection, and Xuefeng Mountain should also deserve our good protection.
