Materials and tools needed to make a windmill from plastic bottles: plastic mineral water bottle (1L or 1.5L is acceptable), wire hanger, white cardboard, protractor, utility knife, stapler, pliers, scissors, awl, Acrylic paint or oil-based pen.
The production steps are as follows:
1. Use a marker or pen to mark the 3:2 area on the bottle, and use a utility knife to cut the mineral water bottle into two parts.
2. Put the cutout part of the mineral water bottle on white cardboard, trace the circular outline with a pen, and then divide the circular outline into 6 parts, and use a pen to divide the 6 parts according to the dividing points. Mark the opening of the bottle (both parts of the bottle are required).
3. Use scissors to cut from each mark toward the bottom and opening of the bottle until it is about 8 cm away from the bottom and opening of the bottle. Then trim each part into a petal shape. When cutting, trim the edges neatly to avoid scratching your fingers.
4. After completing the trimming, fold each petal outward.
5. Use an awl to poke a small hole in the bottom of the bottle and the center of the bottle cap. The diameter of the hole is slightly larger than the diameter of the hanger wire.
6. Fasten the two petals together relative to each other, stagger the petals, and fix them together with a stapler. Then use acrylic paint or oil-based pens to color the flowers.
7. Use pliers to cut the hanger and straighten it into an L shape.
8. Then pass one end of the clothes hanger through the drill hole in the middle of the petals, and use pliers to bend the end part of the hanger to prevent it from falling off.
9. Bend the outer left and right petals about 45 degrees in the same direction to make the windmill spin.
10. Stand the other end of the hanger on a relatively high place, so that the flowers face the horizontal direction, so that when the wind blows, the flower pinwheel will rotate.
The drawing method of this painting is as follows:
1. Place the A3 paper horizontally.
2. Use a pencil to draw a small circle in the center of the paper as the axis of the windmill.
3. Draw two straight lines above and below the axis to form a cross structure.
4. Draw a small circle at the end of each straight line as the paddle of the windmill.
5. Use colored pencils or paints to color the windmill. You can choose bright colors to increase the visual effect.
6. According to your own preferences, you can draw some flowers, grass, clouds and other background elements around the paper to decorate the entire picture.
7. After completion, you will get a beautiful A3 paper pinwheel pattern.
