The installation requirements of the diesel generator set mainly include:
If the diesel generator is used indoors, the exhaust pipe must be connected to the outdoors, and the diameter of the exhaust pipe must be larger than the diameter of the exhaust pipe of the silencer. There should be no more than 3 elbows in the pipeline to ensure smooth flow of smoke exhaust, and the pipe should be tilted downward by 5-10 degrees to avoid rainwater injection; if the exhaust pipe is installed vertically upward, a rainproof cover must be installed.
If it is an indoor machine room, the installation location needs to be well ventilated. There should be sufficient air inlets at the generator end and good air outlets at the diesel engine end. The area of the air outlet should be at least 1.5 times larger than the area of the water tank.
Avoid placing it near the diesel generator set as it can produce acidity and alkalinity. For items with corrosive gases and vapors, the machine room should be equipped with fire extinguishing devices.
When the foundation is made of concrete, a level ruler must be used to measure its level during installation so that the unit can be fixed on a level foundation. There should be special anti-vibration pads or foot bolts between the unit and the foundation.
The two-way switch between the diesel generator set and the mains must be very reliable to prevent reverse power transmission. The wiring reliability of the two-way switch must be inspected and approved by the local power supply department.
The unit shell must have reliable protective grounding. For generators that require a neutral point to be directly grounded, it is strictly prohibited to use the mains grounding device to directly ground the neutral point. The neutral point must be grounded by professionals. Ground and install lightning protection device.
