There are white stains oozing out from the wall. Some people say this is because during the winter construction, a large amount of sea salt was added to the sand to prevent freezing and strengthen it. There are still some holes in the wall. Some people say that when the Great Wall was originally built, a lot of wooden strips were used in the middle for reinforcement, which is equivalent to the steel bars in concrete today. 53-year-old Ni Wenhua from Shaojiayu Village said that despite the earth and sand structure, the wall is indeed very strong. Now no one dares to damage it. In the past few years, villagers took soil from the wall and hit it with a pickaxe, only to make a small hole.
Muling Pass has disappeared, and the Great Wall of Qi is still desolate and lonely. During an interview at the Yishui County Museum, the reporter learned that the relevant departments of Yishui County plan to set up a facility similar to a forest guard room every 5 kilometers along the Qi Great Wall in the county, and send dedicated personnel to guard the Qi Great Wall all year round to protect the Qi Great Wall in sections.
