The Sheshui River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, originates from the Triangle Mountain in Dawu County, Hubei Province. It flows through Dawu County in Xiaogan City, Hong'an County in Huanggang City and Huangpi District in Wuhan City. It has a total length of 142.14 kilometers and a drainage area of ​​2,312 square meters. kilometers, the watershed area in Huangpi District is more than 1,700 square kilometers. The Huangpi section of the Sheshui River is about 90 kilometers long, with an annual water flow of 1.09 billion cubic meters. There are 51 large and small tributaries. The whole basin is rectangular in shape, with the upper and middle sections being hilly areas and a small number of low mountainous areas. Water energy resources are mainly located on the main branches and tributaries of the upper section. The three ancient city ruins of Mazhai City, Chengmentan ruins and Sangujing in Huangpi District are located on the banks of the Yishui River. The protection of the Jishui River has been included in the environmental protection plan for comprehensive water environment management in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
