It shows that turning on the car exhaust self-cleaning means to remove the carbon deposits in the car. The car exhaust automatic cleaning, that is, the DPF self-cleaning function, can automatically or manually clean the engine carbon deposits according to the needs of the user. It can be done The purpose of improving car power, saving fuel consumption, and being clean and environmentally friendly
Solution;
1. Press the start button twice in succession to energize the entire car. Press and hold the self-cleaning button on the lower left corner of the steering wheel. Please start the vehicle and idle until it appears and then start the vehicle.
2. Keep the vehicle idling, turn on the air conditioner (A/C is ON), press and hold the manual regeneration switch for more than 5 seconds and then release it. The DPF will enter the regeneration process, and the engine speed will automatically rise to 2500 rpm. /minute, and at the same time, a text prompt "Self-cleaning in progress, please wait" appears on the instrument cluster. Wait 10-20 minutes for the instrument to prompt that self-cleaning is completed.
3. If the engine fault light is still there, don’t panic at this time. The fault light will go out after starting the vehicle 4 times in a row.
DPF working principle;
DPF generally uses wall flow filters, which rely on alternately blocking the inlet and outlet of the carrier holes to force air to flow through the porous wall to capture particles. The front-stage DOC catalytic converter oxidizes NO produced by combustion in the diesel engine cylinder to generate NO2.
After entering the DPF, the NO2 molecular bonds can be broken at a relatively low temperature (around 250°C), and the generated oxygen burns with the captured C particles to form CO2. Most of the normal driving conditions of the diesel engine can meet the regeneration temperature in the DPF (250℃~500℃), so PM can be effectively removed.
