Car maintenance safety knowledge
What should we pay attention to when it comes to car maintenance safety?
1. When performing vehicle maintenance, remove the ignition key to prevent others from starting the vehicle.
2. When overhauling the fuel system of an EFI engine, the oil circuit must be depressurized first to prevent gasoline from leaking and splashing onto leaky high-voltage lines or high-temperature objects, causing combustion. The negative cable of the battery must be disconnected when inspecting the airbag, and the airbag must be handled with care when disassembling and installing the airbag. When welding the car body, the negative terminal of the battery should be disconnected to prevent damage to the vehicle computer.
3. When repairing a running engine, care should be taken to prevent damage to the fan blades or burns to the human body due to high-temperature parts. When the engine water temperature is very high, do not open the radiator cover directly with your hands to prevent the high-temperature liquid under pressure from scalding personnel.
4. Before starting the engine, check whether the engine oil and coolant meet the requirements; whether the gear lever is in neutral position; and tighten the hand brake. When starting indoors, doors and windows should be opened to allow the air to flow freely. After starting, the oil or gas circuit should be cut off immediately to avoid a "speeding" accident. When testing the engine, no work is allowed under the vehicle.
5. When overhauling automobile circuits, do not pull wires randomly. For faults that frequently blow fuses, the cause of the fault should be identified. Do not replace the fuse with a large-capacity fuse or replace the fuse with copper wire.
