Steps to replace the alternator on the old LeFeng 1.6 model:
1. Test the alternator and regulator before removing it.
2. Remove the alternator.
3. If the front bearing needs to be replaced, use a wrench of appropriate specifications and a 22mm wrench to remove the pulley lock nut, and use an impact wrench if necessary.
4. Remove the flange nut.
5. Remove the end cover and terminal insulator.
6. Remove the brush holder assembly.
7. Remove the four bolts, then remove the rear housing assembly and gasket.
8. If you do not want to replace the front bearing, go to step 13. Remove the rotor from the drive end housing.
9. Check the rotor shaft for scratches, and check the bearing journal surface on the drive end housing for signs of sticking. If the rotor is damaged, replace the rotor assembly. If the rotor is OK, go to step 10.
10. Remove the front bearing retainer.
11. Use a brass punch and hammer to knock out the front bearing.
12. Use a hammer, puller handle, and bearing puller attachment to install a new front bearing into the drive end housing.
13. Use vernier caliper B to measure the length of two brushes A. If the length of any brush is less than the service limit, replace the brush holder assembly. If the brush length is normal, go to step 14.
14. Check whether there is continuity between slip rings A. If there is continuity, go to step 15. If there is no continuity, replace the rotor assembly.
15. Check whether there is continuity between each slip ring, rotor B and rotor shaft C. If there is no continuity, replace the rear housing assembly and go to step 16. If there is continuity, replace the rotor assembly.
16. If the pulley has been removed, put the rotor into the drive end housing, and then tighten the locking nut to the standard torque.
17. Remove all grease and oil from the slip ring.
18. Put the rear housing assembly and the drive end housing/rotor assembly together and tighten the four through bolts.
19. Push in brush A, and then insert pin or drill bit B (diameter about 1.6mm) to secure it.
20. Install the brush holder and pull out the pin or drill bit. Install the end cap.
21. After the alternator is reassembled, turn the pulley by hand to confirm that the rotor rotates smoothly and without noise.
22. Install the alternator.
Chevrolet Lovo has 180,000 kilometers, what parts do I need to replace?
The compression ratio of the Lovo 1.4L engine is 10.2:1. You can keep the shifting speed except for 1st gear. Around 2500-2800 rpm, because if the speed is too low, the engine will feel insufficient power. Note that the engine load is too large at low speeds, which will damage the engine and easily form carbon deposits.
Hello
At this 180,000 kilometers, the generator belt, timing belt, and belt need to be replaced.Tighten wheels, spark plugs, check tire wear, aging or excessive wear also need to be replaced, and brake pads that are excessively worn also need to be replaced
Others generally do not need to be replaced if they are not damaged. Do maintenance on time and you will be fine. That’s it
I hope this helps. If you have any questions about your car, ask the car guru. Professional technicians from 4S stores can solve the problem in 10 minutes.
