Diesel generator room ventilation includes two parts, daily ventilation and working ventilation.
Daily ventilation: The number of daily ventilation in the machine room of air-cooled and water-cooled generators is 6 times, and the number of ventilation in the oil storage room is not less than 3 times. For computer rooms that use gas fire extinguishing systems, after a fire, this ventilation system is responsible for removing indoor exhaust gas, but it is not accident ventilation. To ensure people's safety, it is recommended to set the start button for accident ventilation.
Working ventilation: Water-cooled diesel generators must consider the amount of air required for working oxygen consumption; air-cooled generators have a large cooling air volume and generally use natural air intake. Diesel engines have their own fan pressure emissions, but diesel generators The pressure head of the built-in fan is only about 150Pa. When the resistance of the shaft is large, a fan needs to be added to overcome the resistance of the shaft. Generally, if the resistance of the air inlet shaft is large, an air inlet fan is added; if the resistance of the exhaust shaft is large, an exhaust fan is added.
The diesel generator room uses gas fire extinguishing. Solenoid valves should be installed on the air inlet and exhaust channels. When a fire occurs in the diesel generator room and gas fire extinguishing is started, these valves will be closed in a chain to ensure the fire extinguishing effect.
The exhaust of diesel generators is pressurized exhaust with high flue gas temperature and high air flow velocity. The flue gas needs to be discharged at high altitude. The smoke pipe should be thermally insulated and a shock-absorbing hanger should be installed.
Diesel generator rooms must pay attention to ventilation and smoke exhaust, otherwise it will affect the use of the generator and cause damage to the generator. For companies that cannot afford power outages, damage to the generator is a very bad thing. matter.
General ventilation and process air supplementation in the diesel engine room are done by HVAC professionals. Others are determined by the electrical major. To put it simply: when the diesel engine room is not generating electricity, the air supply and exhaust are provided by HVAC professionals; and when the diesel engine room machines are working, the process air supply at this time is also provided by the HVAC department. Like process smoke exhaust, these are determined by the electrical major.
