The whirring sound is the sound of a generator.
①The generator belt is too loose or badly worn.
② Improper installation of the generator causes long-term wear of the foot holes and bolts, resulting in special-shaped bolt holes that cannot fix the generator and cause abnormal noise caused by the shaking.
③ The generator bearings are damaged, mainly due to lack of oil (when checking, you can remove the belt, spin the generator blades and listen carefully for any abnormal noise coming bearings).
④ The generator rotor rubs against the stator (mainly related to bearing damage, rotor position deviation and friction with the stator).
⑤The generator fan blades are deformed, and the external force causes deformation and friction with the generator case.
Self-inspection and self-correction after abnormal noise:
1. Check the condition of the belt
When we find. abnormal noise in the engine. We must first check whether there are any faults in the peripheral accessories of the motor. Especially the parts associated with the operation of the belt. Includes generator, compressor, tensioner and water pump. And check the progress of the belt tension. Under normal circumstances, the belt tension should only rotate 45°.
2. Check the swing tensioner for any abnormal noises.
If there are "squeaks", "clicks" and other abnormal noises after running the motor, we will check the swing tensioner as follows. as quickly as possible to check if the abnormal noise disappears. If there is abnormal noise from the parts connected to the belt, the abnormal noise may disappear by loosening the belt. If the noiseabnormal noise comes from inside the engine, the abnormal noise will persist after the belt is loosened.
3. Dismantling the tensioner
If the tensioner is damaged, it can usually only be replaced and cannot be repaired. Most tensioners are attached to the bracket with one or two bolts, so it is easier to remove the tensioner after loosening the belt.
Deformation of the fan blades on the hydrogenerator rotor will have the following effects on the generator.
1. The motor cooling fan blade is broken and the motor cannot dissipate heat effectively. As the temperature increases, the motor becomes hot and accelerates the aging of the stator insulation.
2. If the fan blades are partially damaged, it will cause unbalanced operation, the motor will vibrate, and the stability of the machine base will be damaged.
