The installation structure of the turbogenerator is generally determined by the turbine type. There are mainly the following types:
1) Horizontal structure
Hydrogenerators with horizontal structure are generally driven by impact turbines. Horizontal turbine units generally use two or three bearings. The structure of the two bearings has short axial length, compact structure and easy installation and adjustment. However, when the critical speed of the shaft system cannot meet the requirements or the load on the bearings is large, a three-bearing structure is required. Most domestic turbine generators are small to medium sized units. Large-scale horizontal turbine units with a capacity of 12.5 MW are also produced. It is not uncommon for horizontal turbine generator units produced abroad to have acapacity of 60 to 70 MW. However, horizontal turbine generator units using pumped storage power plants only have one. unit capacity of 12.5 MW. Up to 300 MW.
2) Vertical structure
Domestic hydroelectric generator sets widely adopt a vertical structure. Vertical turbine generator sets are generally driven by Francis or axial flow turbines. Vertical structures can be divided into hanging and umbrella types. The generator stops located on the upper part of the rotor are collectively called suspension type, and those located on the lower part of the rotor are collectively called umbrella type.
3) Tubular structure
The tubular turbine generator set is driven by a tubular turbine. A tubular turbine is a special type of axial flow turbine with fixed or adjustable blades. Its maincharacteristic is that the axis of the channel is arranged horizontally or inclined and corresponds to the direction of water flow from the inlet and outlet pipes of the turbine. The tubular turbine generator has the advantages of compact structure and light weight, and is widely used in low head power plants.

Based on 2.5 kilowatts of cabinet air conditioner:
mgh=2500
mg=2500/50=50kg/s
< p>Also In other words, if all the gravitational potential energy of the water is converted into 220 volts of electrical energy, the flow rate must be 50 liters/second.In fact, the efficiency of this type of micro-hydraulic power generation unit may not reach 40%, and the undervoltage operation of the air conditioner can easily burn the compressor, the input power must therefore have a margin, then:
The required flow rate is at least (50/0.4)/0.8=156 liters/secconde
