1. Select fuel at will
Low temperature in winter deteriorates the fluidity of diesel, the viscosity increases, and it is difficult to spray, resulting in poor atomization and worsening of combustion, which affects the the power and economical performance of the diesel engine decreases. Therefore, when choosing low temperature engine oil, you should try to choose light diesel with thinner viscosity, low freezing point and good ignition performance. It is generally required that the freezing point of diesel fuel be 7-10°C lower than the current local seasonal temperature.
2. Use an open flame to aid combustion and start.
Do not remove the air filter. Use cotton thread dipped in diesel fuel to light it, then make a fire starter and place it. it in the intake pipe for combustion assistance. DIn this way, during the starting process, dusty air from outside will be directly inhaled into the cylinder without filtering, causing abnormal wear of the piston, cylinder and other parts. This will also cause the diesel engine to run rough and damage the machine. . Therefore, under low temperature conditions, the air filter element should be replaced frequently.
3. Release water too early or do not release cooling water.
Idle before turning off the engine. Wait for the cooling water temperature to drop below 60°. C and the water is not warm for your hands, so turn off the engine and drain the water. If the cooling water is released prematurely, the body will suddenly shrink and crack when suddenly attacked by cold air when the temperature is high. When the temperature is lower than -4°C, the cooling waterin the diesel engine cooling water tank must be drained, because at -4°C the water will freeze and the volume will increase. The cooling water tank radiator will be damaged. due to increased volume and expansion.
4. Low temperature loading operation
After the diesel engine started and caught fire, some workers were eager to start the loading operation immediately. In a diesel engine that has caught fire for a short time, due to the low body temperature and high oil viscosity, the oil does not easily penetrate into the friction surface of the moving pair, resulting in will cause significant wear and tear on the machine. . Additionally, piston springs, valve springs and injector springs are also prone to breakage due to "cold brittleness". Therefore, once the diesel engine starts to catch fire when the temperature is benough, it must remain idling for a few minutes at low and medium speed, then be put into operation under load when the cooling water temperature reaches 60°C.
5. Do not pay attention to the insulation of the machine body
When the temperature is low, it is easy for the diesel generator to cool too much during operation. Therefore, thermal insulation is the key to making good use of diesel engines in low temperature environments, which is why the diesel engines used should be equipped with cold-resistant equipment such as thermal insulation sleeves and thermal insulation curtains.
6. Improper starting method
In order to quickly start the diesel engine in a low temperature environment, some operators often use the abnormal waterless starting method (start first, then add cooling water ) Start the method. This practice can cause serious damage to the machine and should be prohibited. The correct preheating method is as follows: first cover the water tank with an insulating quilt, open the drain valve, and continuously inject clean soft water at 60-70°C into the water tank. water when the water flowing from the drain faucet is hot when you. touch it with your hand, close the drain valve. Pour fresh, clean water at 90-100°C into the water tank and rotate the crankshaft to ensure all moving parts are properly pre-lubricated before starting. Or add a water heater and an oil heater.
When the engine is running, the cooling water temperature of the diesel generator set must be maintained between 80 and 90 degrees Celsius before entering full load operation, otherwise the engine will not run properly . In winter, diesel engine ambient temperature of the engineur is lower and the corresponding coolant temperature is also lower. Therefore, diesel generators must be preheated before starting. When the diesel engine is developing its maximum effective power, the coolant temperature should be around 80°. When using a diesel generator in winter, it is best to ensure the water temperature is around 80° when preparing for load operation.
