During long-term use, the cylinder liner of a diesel generator set is subject to significant wear, cracking, cavitation and cylinder failure due to the effects of temperature and high pressure, cavitation damage caused by coolant and mechanical stress.
When the cylinder liner is heavily worn, it will cause the compression pressure inside the cylinder to decrease, reduce power, etc. If you use a flathead screwdriver to turn the diesel generator flywheel ring gear into the flywheel monitoring hole, you will also see an air leaking sound;
After the occurrence of cracks or cavitation in the cylinder liner, the cylinder liner may leak air, and the lubricating oil inside the oil pan will enter the coolant. If the fissu positionre or cavitation is above the top dead center of the piston, water will flow outward from the water tank (or radiator) after the diesel generator set is started;
The diesel generator will have obvious marks. symptoms after cylinder removal. The characteristics are a decrease in speed, a reduction in power, an increase in lubricating oil temperature and an increase in smoke emissions.
