What are five oils, three waters and five tires?
Car maintenance should be carried out with five oils and three waters. Five oils refer to gasoline, engine oil, transmission oil, power steering oil and brake oil. Three water refers to radiator water, windshield wiper water and battery water. Five tires refers to the basic maintenance of the five tires, which can make the car. better operation.
(1) How to check transmission oil?
When you change the engine oil, you can check your transmission oil. Since the inspection process is complicated, you can ask the dealer. after-sales service to handle it. In order to measure accurately, the car must be put in neutral P, driven at full speed and parked on a flat place, and the oil must be brought to an operating temperature of 80°C ~ 93°C. RNote: Too much or too little oil can damage the gearbox. Too much oil can cause excessive operating resistance of machine parts, or cause the gearbox oil to foam and deteriorate, causing abnormal wear of machine parts. So when you check your transmission fluid, make sure you measure it accurately.
(2) How to check fuel?
Just be diligent in checking to see if the fuel gauge is at the bottom. Note: Never let your oil dipstick reach the bottom before refueling. New cars now use electric fuel pump rods and electronic oil level sensors. Be careful to soak them in gasoline to dissipate heat. This will also affect the exhaust system's oxygen sensor. These parts aren't cheap, so don't stock up beyond the bottom line.
(3) Howcheck the brake fluid?
Simply open the hood and check the fluid level in the brake fluid bottle, provided it is not below the lower limit. , it'll be OK. Note: Do not add brake fluid without checking the brake fluid level to avoid adding too much brake fluid and causing brake fluid to spray into the engine at high temperature, causing corrosion of mechanical parts or even a fire. If there are bubbles in the brake fluid or the oil becomes dirty, it means the brake fluid has deteriorated. Please replace it as soon as possible to prevent the boiling point of the brake fluid from dropping and causing bubbles, which will cause braking effect. deteriorate and cause danger.
(4) How to check engine oil?
Simply remove the oil dipstick every few days, wipe it clean, insert it again andremove it again to check the oil level. It doesn't matter if it is between the upper limit and the lower limit. Note: Generally speaking, engine oil consumption is not serious and is enough to survive between maintenance. However, due to the high summer heat, engine oil consumption will be a little higher than usual. If during daily inspections it is found that there are impurities or gasoline smell in the engine oil and the exhaust smoke appears light blue, this means that there is a problem with the engine and parts may be abnormally worn, so you should go to the factory for maintenance as soon as possible.
(5) How to check the power steering oil?
When the engine cools down, wipe the top of the oil filler cap and the oil storage tank, then unscrew the steering oil. cap and clean it with a clean cloth. EWipe the oil dipstick with a clean fiber paper towel, then install and lock it. After locking, open and remove to check the oil level from the dipstick. Note: When refilling or replacing oil, you must use the correct power steering oil. Improper use may damage the steering gear.
