1.0.2 This code applies to newly constructed civil buildings, expanded and renovated. and the design of automatic sprinkler systems in industrial buildings.

This specification does not apply to the design of automatic sprinkler systems in special function buildings such as gunpowder factories, explosives factories, munitions factories, pyrotechnic factories, power stations nuclear power plants and aircraft hangars.

4.1.2 The automatic sprinkler system is not suitable for locations where there are more than one of the following:

1 Objects that explode or accelerate combustion when exposed to 'water ;

2 Items that react violently with water or produce toxic and harmful substances;

3 Liquids that will cause splashing or overflowing when doused with water
