Umbrellas with UV protection are made of polyester fabric.
Polyester Pansol offers the best UV protection, while cotton, silk, nylon, viscose and other fabrics have poorer UV protection. Polyester fabric has good absorption and reflection effects on ultraviolet rays and has strong protective properties. The ultraviolet transmittance is less than 3%, and the ultraviolet protection rate is still above 85% after being washed several times. Additionally, the darker the color, the better the UV resistance of the fabric. Black, navy blue, dark green, etc. have better UV resistance than light blue, light pink, clear**, etc. The darker the fabric, the lower the ultraviolet transmission and the cooler the person under the umbrella will feel.
Opaque fabric can resist ultraviolet rays to a certain extent, but it is ineexact from the point of view of opacity alone. The fabric mesh is relatively large and the anti-ultraviolet function is relatively poor. So, when choosing fabrics for clothing, you should not only choose opaque fabrics, but also choose meshes for clothing, with small and dense holes, so that they are more resistant to ultraviolet rays.
