How to use PS to combine two photos into one, combining ocean and sand

1. Create a new white canvas, drag the desert layer into the canvas, then drag the ocean layer into the canvas.

2. First mask the ocean layer, select the desert layer and click the "Add Vector Mask" icon below the layers panel to add a vector mask to the desert layer.

3. Set the foreground color and background color to black and white respectively, select the "Gradient Tool" icon in the toolbar and drag the mouse up and down in the middle of the layer to create the gradient desert layer.

4. View the ocean layer, select the ocean layer and click the "Add Vector Mask" icon below the layers panel to add a vector mask to the ocean layer.
