The generator is star connected, mainly connected head to head.
There are two connection methods for three-phase AC power, namely star connection and angle connection.
Star connection - is a connection method in which the three terminals of the three-phase load are connected together as a common terminal, and three live wires come out from the first three terminals. (For example, the charge of phase A is represented by Ax, the charge of phase B is represented by By and the charge of phase C is represented by Cz, that is, x, y and z are connected together to lead to three wires A, B and C.) The voltage which each phase coil of the load carries is 220 volts, that is, the voltage between the live wire and the neutral wire (neutral wire) is 220 V.
Angular connection is a connection method in which the beginning and end of each phase of a load triphased are connected in sequence. (For example, the load of phase A is represented by Ax, the load of phase B is represented by By and the load of phase C is represented by Cz, that is, x is connected to B , y is connected to C, z is connected to A and the three lines drawn are Bx, Cy and Az.) The voltage carried by each phase load is the line voltage of 380 volts, i.e. the tension between the live wire and the live wire.
The three-phase windings of the motor are fully connected to the end cover. There are six heads in the end cover, the bottom three heads are connected together, and the top three heads come out three. wires respectively, which is a star connection; the upper and lower heads are connected vertically, and three wires are respectively pulled, which is a triangular connection.
The differences are as follows:
1. Star connectione: Star connection refers to connecting the three-phase ends of the motor windings together and the first end of the three-phase is the output voltage 220V. Since the output power of the star connection method is low, it is often used for low power and high torque motors, or when starting higher power motors, resulting in less losses for the machine.
2. Triangle Connection: Triangle connection refers to the connection of three-phase windings from start to finish. The three end points are the power terminals, and the output voltage is 380V. Generally, the delta connection method is only used after the motor begins to operate normally.
3. In delta connection, each winding of the three-phase motor supports the line voltage (380 V), while in star connection, each winding of the motorur supports phase voltage (220 V). When the motor power is the same, the winding current of the angle motor is lower than that of the star connected motor.
Detailed information:
Triangle connection method
Motor The delta connection method is to connect each phase winding end to end in order and bring out each connected point as three-phase wires of three-phase electricity. In delta connection, the motor phase voltage is equal to the line voltage; the line current is equal to the phase current three times the square root.
Star connection
The star connection of the motor is to connect one end of each phase winding to a point, and their other ends are used as lead wires, each of which is of three phase lines. In star connection, the line voltage is three times the racine of the phase voltage and the line current is equal to the phase current.
Due to the low power output, the star connection method is often used for small power and high torque motors, or when starting higher power motors. The sample will cause less loss to the machine, so switch to delta connection method after normal operation. This is often called star-triangle initiation.
Selection of motor connection methods
This is a three-phase motor. Single-phase motors do not have the above two connection methods. Generally, motors under 3 kW have a star connection and motors over 3 kW usually have an angle connection. According to regulations, motors over 15 kW require star start angle operation to reduce starting current.
There are also small enginess with angular start. If they are to be connected to a three-phase 220 V supply, they must be star connected.
The three-phase power supply has two connection methods: star and delta on the power side and the load side. Both connection methods will have three three-phase transmission lines and three power supplies (or loads), but the methods of connecting the power supplies (or loads) are different.
The voltage in the three-phase four-wire system of the daily power system is 380/220 V, that is, the phase voltage is 380 V. The phase voltage varies depending on the wiring method in case of star connection; The method is used, the line voltage is 220 V, the phase voltage of the triangle connection is 380 V.
