Construction location: Dali Prefecture , Lijiang City, Yunnan Province
Illegal facts: The project has a total investment of 21.33 billion yuan, an installed capacity of 2.16 million kilowatts and a storage capacity of 1.718 billion of cubic meters. The project was closed in January 2009 without environmental assessment approval and had a greater impact on the ecology of the middle reaches of the Jinsha River. (Now approved)
Decision: Order the project to stop the construction of the main dam, take effective measures to ensure that the upstream and downstream cofferdams can safely survive flooding, hold demonstrations extrabasic environmental impact assessment and further improve the environment based on the findings of the demonstration impact assessment.
