A shortage of cylinders in the engine can cause the car to consume a lot of fuel, emit black smoke, weaken, reduce power, prevent the vehicle from accelerating, produce strong vibrations and increase driving noise. And this greatly harms driving safety. Especially on sections that require slopes, the engine load of a vehicle without a cylinder increases and body shaking becomes more evident, making it very easy to cause instant misfires.
Engine cylinder shortage:
Generally divided into three situations
1. Remove the spark plug, install it on the high voltage line, start the engine and watch the sparks emit. Normal sparks are white. If there is no spark or the spark is red, check the spark plug, high voltage wire and ignition coil.
2. Oil free. Remove the injectorfuel and connect the oil tank underneath. Start the engine and check the quality of the fuel injection. The normal condition is intermittent and strong atomization. If there is no oil, constant oil and no atomization, check the injector, connecting line and TCU.
3. No pressure. Remove the spark plug and measure the pressure with a special engine cylinder pressure gauge. Open the throttle wide and start the engine. Look at the highest value in the table. Compared to the pressure of the adjacent cylinder, the difference is not less than 5%. Parts that can be checked are the cylinder gasket, intake valve, exhaust valve and piston rings.
4. In addition, there is a special situation in which the near and exhaust passages of this cylinder are blocked by foreign bodies.
1. Fault diagnosis:
Usually manifested by: a functionalabnormal engine operation or insufficient power, erratic engine operation at high, medium and low speeds and rhythmic vibrations of the black exhaust muffler. smoke and gunshots. The phenomenon of running out of engine cylinders can cause the car to consume a lot of fuel, emit black smoke, become weak, reduce power, prevent the vehicle from accelerating, have severe shaking and increase driving noise. And this greatly harms driving safety. Especially on sections that require slopes, the engine load of a vehicle without a cylinder increases and body shaking becomes more evident, making it very easy to cause instant misfires.
2. Running the engine without a cylinder will cause serious damage:
1. Engine speed and power decrease.
2. Increase fuel consumption and emissionse pollution.
3. Increases wear of running parts and shortens the life of lubricating oil.
3. Maintenance method: Firstly, check the circuit faults, and secondly, check the valve tightness (cylinder compression ratio). If there is no problem with the above inspection, it will be more troublesome. a sign of mechanical aging or damage and requires servicing.
