Hello:
The shelf life of carbon dry batteries is two years and that of alkaline batteries is three years. Some manufacturers advertise a seven-year warranty.
Liquid leaks include storage leaks: they are mainly caused by the sealing process. A small proportion of mass-produced batteries will leak. The current packaging process cannot be 100% waterproof.
Leakage due to over-discharge: This is related to the battery principle and the sealing process, and is also insurmountable. A battery from a good manufacturer will not leak when discharged to 0.3 volts. It will leak when discharged again. Low quality batteries are promised 0.6V or more without leaking.
Leaks occur in all batteries and cannot be 100% prevented. The key to good or bad depends on the ratio.
This issue cannot be resolved by removingt the leaves.
Lithium battery leaks are a serious safety issue and should not be attempted to be repaired using blades or other unprofessional tools.
Stop using the battery: Stop using a leaking lithium battery immediately to avoid further damage or safety hazards. Keep away from fire sources: Lithium battery leakage may cause fire or explosion, so keep away from fire sources, open flames or high temperature environments.
