Since lithium iron phosphate batteries have the above characteristics and can produce batteries of different capacities, they have quickly been widely used. Its main application areas are:
Large electric vehicles: buses, electric cars, tourist buses, hybrid vehicles, etc. ;
Light electric vehicles: electric bicycles, golf carts, small apartment battery vehicles, forklifts, cleaning vehicles, electric wheelchairs, etc. ;
Power tools: electric drills, chainsaws, lawn mowers, etc. ;
Cars, boats, planes and other toys;
Energy storage equipment for solar and wind power generation;
UPS and emergency lights, warning lights and miner's lamps (the best safety);
Replacing disposable 3V lithium batteries in cameras and recharging batteries9V nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal hydride batteries (the same size);
Small medical equipment and portable instruments, etc.
Here is an example application of using lithium iron phosphate batteries to replace lead acid batteries. It uses a 36V/10Ah (360Wh) lead-acid battery, weighs 12kg, can travel around 50km on a single charge, can be recharged around 100 times and has a usage life of around 1 year. If a lithium iron phosphate battery is used, using the same energy of 360 Wh (consisting of 12 10 Ah batteries in series), it weighs about 4 kg, can travel about 80 km on a single charge, can be charged up to 1,000 times and has a service life of 3 to 5 years. Although the price of lithium iron phosphate batteries is much higher than that of lead-acid batteries, the overall economic effect is better and lighter to use.
